Southface is pleased to be one of the first training centers in the nation to be awarded accreditation from the Interstate Renewable Energy Council (IREC) for our Energy Auditor training program.
In August 2011, the Georgia Environmental Finance Authority (GEFA) and Southface announced that more than 10,000 homes have been weatherized in Georgia through the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP).
Southface conducted a LEED concepts workshop to set environmental goals and discuss strategies to achieve those goals. Southface was the LEED Administrator and actively worked with Atlanta Spirit throughout the LEED certification process. Southface also conducted the energy audit to assess the building’s energy performance and look for low and no-cost ways to reduce energy use.
Southface was the LEED Administrator and facilitated the LEED certification process. Southface also performed the energy modeling to demonstrate the energy savings.
Southface conducted a charrette focused on sustainable design principles with Georgia Tech and its design team in order to set environmental goals and evaluate the optimum strategies to achieve those goals. Southface also served as Georgia Tech’s LEED Administrator on the project, and facilitated the LEED certification process.
