2015: Nonprofit Energy and Water Efficiency Initiative

Southface creates the Nonprofit Energy and Water Efficiency Initiative and provides Boys and Girls Clubs of America and Feeding America member Food Banks with funding and technical assistance for energy-efficient initiatives at several of their facilities across the Southeast.

Over the Past 3 Years:

  1. 45 participating Boys and Girls Cubs have seen cumulative annual cost savings of $656,728

    Enough to serve more than 220 new club members each year or enough to power six new clubs annually.

  2. 10 Feed America member Food Banks have saved a cumalitive savings of $60,000

    Enough to serve nearly 300,000 additional meals each year to persons in need.

  3. Cumulatively, 55 participating Boys and Girls Clubs and Feeding America member Food banks have saved over $740,000 to date.

  4. These results indicate a year-over-year utilities cost savings =
    65 percent or a portfolio average of 20 percent
