On June 2, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released a Clean Power Plan to cut carbon pollution from existing power plants that will hopefully satisfy the concerns of most industries, advocates and state-level regulators. The Plan acknowledges that states have to generate the electricity they need and therefore sets goals for each state to reduce its pollution-to-power ratio by the year 2030. Jenna Grygier, Residential Green Building Services project manager As a RESNET Quality Assurance Designee (QAD), Jenna manages the Southface Energy Rated Homes (SERH) providership and serves as a mentor and technical advisor for new and existing independent HERS and Southface staff. Meet a Southfacer: Maria Quiñones

About Us

Maria conducts energy and water assessments for commercial facilities. She provides technical assistance to the Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge program for large commercial facilities that have publicly pledged to reduce energy and water use by 20% by 2020. Maria also works with the Grants to Green program for metro Atlanta nonprofits by identifying energy and water conservation projects and providing technical support for implementing resource-saving strategies.
