Barry Abramson, PE, Servidyne
Our speaker, Barry Abramson, has spent the past 40 years improving the energy efficiency, environmental impact, and economic performance of buildings. He has provided energy and sustainability consulting for many government and private sector organizations throughout the country. Barry joined Servidyne in 1981 and has been Principal of Servidyne, LLC since 2014. He leads Servidyne’s partnership with ENERGY STAR® and has been involved in the program since its inception. He was Principal Investigator for a major ASHRAE research project on HVAC service life and maintenance costs, the results of which were published in the ASHRAE Handbook. Barry graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a degree in Energy and Environmental Engineering from Stanford University. He is a Registered Professional Engineer in 15 states and a LEED® Accredited Professional with a Specialty in Operations and Maintenance. He is also an ASHRAE certified Building Energy Assessment Professional and Commissioning Project Management Professional. He is Chair of the LEED Energy and Atmosphere Technical Advisory Group, LEED Faculty, and serves on the ASHRAE Committee that developed the ASHRAE Standard for Commercial Building Energy Audits.
