ATLANTA, GA – November 14, 2019 – Cherry Street Energy is proud to partner with Parallel Housing and Woda Cooper Companies on the Adair Court Housing Development, celebrating its grand opening on Friday, November 15, at 10 a.m. Located at 806 Murphy Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30310, Adair Court is a mixed-income senior community in Adair Park, on the Atlanta Beltline. There are two buildings in the housing development for seniors aged 55 years and above. Nineteen of the units are reserved for residents earning up to 50% of the area median income (AMI) and 58 units for residents earning 60% AMI.

Cherry Street Energy is a renewable power company making solar accessible to more people. The company installed a 53 kW system providing energy for the community area. The system will produce 79,750 kWh of energy every year and offset 56.4 metric tons of carbon, which is equivalent to 66.4 acres of U.S. forest saved every year.

Adair Park is pursuing LEED for Homes, LEED Neighborhood Development and DOE Zero Energy Ready certification. Southface Institute is a consultant to Woda Cooper Companies and Parallel Housing, guiding the project team through these certifications. Southface also verifies that the buildings meet the LEED and Zero Energy Ready requirements by performing on-site inspections throughout construction.
