The Southeast Sustainability Directors Network (SSDN) is pleased to announce that the Southeast Sustainable Communities Fund (SSCF) will invest $1,500,000 to support five sustainability projects in the Southeast. Grantees include Clarkston, Georgia; Fulton County, Georgia; Durham, North Carolina; Memphis, Tennessee; and Miami, Florida.

Cherry Street Energy, Southface Institute and partners celebrate new senior mixed-income community

ATLANTA, GA – November 14, 2019 – Cherry Street Energy is proud to partner with Parallel Housing and Woda Cooper Companies on the Adair Court Housing Development, celebrating its grand opening on Friday, November 15, at 10 a.m. Located at 806 Murphy Ave SW, Atlanta, GA 30310, Adair Court is a mixed-income senior community in Adair Park, on the Atlanta Beltline. There are two buildings in the housing development for seniors aged 55 years and above. Nineteen of the units are reserved for residents earning up to 50% of the area median income (AMI) and 58 units for residents earning 60% AMI.

The historic home is now on the market and will be available to tour on Thursday, October 16th.

Southface Purchases Piece of Civic Center Property
Historic step secures home of Southeast’s premiere sustainability nonprofit

ATLANTA, GA – September 20, 2019 – Southface Institute and Atlanta Housing have closed on the first transaction of approximately 0.7 acres, which includes the existing Southface campus, located at 241 Pine Street NE. Southface has been on this site, under a long-term land lease, since 1995 when it moved from Moreland Avenue to construct a demonstration facility that highlights residential sustainability in partnership with the City of Atlanta prior to the 1996 Olympic Games.
