Amelia Godfrey earns place on Home Energy Magazine’s Thirty Under 30 List

Home Energy Magazine recently released a list of thirty professionals under the age of 30 who have made a notable impact on the home energy industry through their commitment to saving energy. The list includes Southface Weatherization Training Associate Amelia Godfrey, who began her career in the home energy industry in 2009.

Amelia GodfreyGodfrey started working for Southface in 2009 with the Georgia Low-Income Weatherization Assistance Program—and it was this program that laid the foundation for her career. Since then, she has trained more than 1,500 weatherization and home performance professionals on various energy efficiency-related topics. She also holds seven BPI certifications.

Inspired by: The challenge of troubleshooting homes and figuring out how they work, and the rewarding feeling of helping people.

What does the industry need to stay relevant for the next 30 years? “The challenge is to bridge the knowledge gap between builders, homeowners, and home performance contractors so that people can better understand how their houses operate.”
