Commercial Sustainability Services
The engineers, designers and project managers on the Southface Commercial Sustainability Services team work with clients to achieve their project goals and build capacity and know-how for project teams to carry forward. The quality work we do is possible not in spite of the mission-driven focus that defines us as a nonprofit, but rather because of it. Southface applies its technical acumen through the lens of mission-driven work in an effort to transform the design, engineering and construction industries and provide high quality technical service.
A building audit or assessment is an effective way to evaluate the source or sources of performance problems within a building, and determine the solutions that best address them. Southface has conducted thousands of assessments on single-family, multifamily, and commercial buildings.
Southface has helped thousands of owners, builders and architects to navigate the building certification process for both regional and national green building programs. We also provide on-site technical assistance, including the physical inspections and verifications often needed for residential green building certifications. Building research is a key pillar of the Southface mission, and keeps us on the cutting edge of the sustainability movement and environmental thought leadership. Our research programs provide invaluable public-private partnership opportunities to connect federal and state funding with companies looking to enter a new market, test new products or find new applications for their technology.
Whether you are a seasoned home energy professional or new to the home performance industry, Southface offers an affordable rental option for your equipment needs. All rental kits include the necessary equipment needed to complete airflow testing on buildings and HVAC distribution systems.
