Commercial Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance Help Desk

Southface Institute is no longer serving as the technical partner for the CBEEO Help Desk. The deadline to submit benchmarking data has passed (November 23rd). Effective December 17, 2020, all questions or concerns should be redirected to the City of Atlanta.

Southface Institute has worked at the forefront of building science and building performance in commercial buildings for decades. Partnering with the City of Atlanta, Southface is the go-to resource for technical assistance for the Commercial Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance Help Desk (CBEEO) and assists in conducting energy audits to help the City reach their 100% clean energy goal. Energy efficiency is a foundational strategy in the transition to 100% clean energy, and commercial buildings represent the largest percentage of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the built environment in Atlanta.

As the operator of the CBEEO Help Desk, Southface educates Atlanta building owners and managers about the Commercial Buildings Energy Efficiency Ordinance, assisting them in establishing a baseline for their buildings energy and water use, and showing them how to track usage, reduce their utility bills and pass those savings onto their tenants and customers. This work builds off Southface’s involvement in the Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge.
