Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge Announces Major Achievements and New Partners

Mayor Reed announced Wednesday that the Atlanta BBC has already achieved 20% water savings with a 2010 baseline, and 11% energy savings with a 2009 baseline. He added that the program now boasts 100 million square feet of committed building space in the City of Atlanta, which represents the largest commitment of any local partner at the national level with DOE.

Southface Refresh: Spotlight on Imperial Paints, LLC

ECOS paint, owned by Imperial Paints, is used to mitigate harmful chemicals from an interior paint and lessen the health impacts for building occupants, and Southface is proud to feature it in our refresh.

Southface Refresh: Interface Human Nature Collection

The carpet chosen for the Home Depot Foundation Training Center comes from another line of beautifully designed carpets – the Human Nature Collection. The design for the room starts out with a pebbled surface and then gradually transitions into a smoother texture – just as one would find in nature standing on a river’s edge.
