PLUMBING REPAIR PROGRAM

Southface Care and Conserve Plumbing Repair Program (CCPRP) provides plumbing and sewer repair to residents living in the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management service area.  This program has been established to assist low to moderate income family homeowners, with plumbing and sewer repairs.

The program will provide up to $1,500.00 for households with non-sewer line repair/replacement work and up to $2,500.00 for households with sewer line repair/replacement.

Eligibility Guidelines

  • Homeowner must reside within one of the following City of Atlanta Council Districts:

    1 ,2, 4, 5, 6, 7 or 12

  • Meet the Income Requirements:

  • Be 18 or older

  • Own the home

  • Currently live on the property for which they are requesting assistance and the water service must legally be on

  • Make consistent Payments on the DWM Account during the application process

  • Have lived in the property for at least 6 months

  • Have a single residential family water account with the City of Atlanta that has completed 6 billing cycles.

    • Water/Sewer accounts cannot be more than 5 months past due;
    • Must have made 3 recent monthly consecutive payments from the date of the application as required by DWM Care and Conserve office.
  • Sign a "Release of Customer Information Authorization Form"

*All applications will be reviewed by the Program Coordinator and prioritized by Senior households aged 55+ and Disabled Heads of Households.

Who is Southface?

Southface is a non-profit agency whose mission is to promote sustainable homes, workplaces and communities through education, research, advocacy and technical assistance. Southface was chosen by the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management to administer the Care and Conserve Plumbing Repair Program (CCPRP) for City of Atlanta Council Districts 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 12.

Why are they offering plumbing repairs?

The goal of the Care and Conserve Plumbing Repair Program is to help low to moderate-income customers conserve water and reduce their water bills. This will be done by providing household plumbing repairs.

Which neighborhoods does this serve?

Southface will serve the City of Atlanta Department of Watershed Management low to moderate-income customers who live in the following City of Atlanta Council Member's Districts:

Who is given priority for the program?

Elderly and disabled headed households receive priority. 

How much money will the program provide for my home repairs?

The program will provide up to $1,500 for households which do not require sewer line repair or replacement and up to $2,500 for households which do require sewer line repair or replacement.

Are there any out-of-pocket costs for me to participate in the program?

No.

Is this a loan and will I have to pay any money back?

No.
