SUMMARY:Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Rater Training
DESCRIPTION:Southface’s Home Energy Rating System (HERS) Rater training is a comprehensive course that prepares students to properly test and model residential homes. This training is taught in a live-virtual format. Each day of training is 4 hours\, with homework and independent study assigned each week. Students will have access to the RESNET Rater Simulation Practical and RESCaz training simulations and given training access to Ekotrope early in the training to practice with the software prior to the tests and evaluations.   \nAs a long-time RESNET Training provider\, Southface makes every effort to teach the skills and knowledge needed to be a HERS modeler. In addition to the training and testing needed for the RESNET exams\, this course also includes one energy model project\, which may be accepted by a HERS Rater candidate’s Provider as a provisional model.
