The Sustainable Atlanta Roundtable (SART) is a high-profile forum convened once a month by Southface to discuss the region’s current environmental issues – from water to energy, urban planning to government policy and much more. Steering committee members from government, industry, nonprofit and academia coordinate program content. Members of the audience are encouraged to ask questions, make comments, network and learn about Atlanta’s current and future opportunities for sustainable development. SART attracts professionals from multiple sectors as well as policymakers, members of the media, and engaged citizens from Atlanta and beyond.
Greenprints is the Southeast’s premier green building conference. Since 1998, the Greenprints conference has facilitated conversations between researchers and on-the-ground practitioners to promote sustainable buildings and communities. Each year, industry partners, policy makers, building owners and members of the public attend Greenprints to explore innovative measures for linking energy and water efficiency, urban planning and land use, architecture, construction and resource conservation.
Public Tour: Offered every Wednesday at 10:00am, public tours are led by junior staff and show attendees the features of the Eco Office that allow it to use 50 percent less energy and 80 percent less water than traditional office building of its size.
The Professional Tour: For those who work in the architecture, building design or construction sectors — and for members of the public with an advanced technical interest in green building — Southface offers professional tours of the Eco Office by appointment.
