Last year, Kashi Custom Homes completed their first EarthCraft House project with style, achieving all of the EarthCraft House certification badges in an impressive single-family home located in Marietta. From the outside in, this house has been designed and constructed to provide maximum efficiency, performance, and comfort. The house maximized its insulation coverage and window performance to provide an efficient and quiet home that includes water and energy-efficient appliances.
From a technical perspective, this house leads the way in energy efficiency: it achieved a HERS score of 22, an air tightness level of 1.3 ACH50, and high-efficiency HVAC equipment. It has a 6.15kW solar array—designed to offset roughly 40% of the home’s energy usage – making this a home that is move-in ready with onsite renewables. And, uniquely, this home comes equipped with three EV charging plugs in its garage.
