BPI Building Analyst Professional
The BPI Building Analyst Professional (BA-P) course from Southface prepares students for the BPI Building Analyst Professional online exam. Each day of training includes four hours of live-virtual instruction with homework and test prep provided for independent study. Class times each day are 9:00 am to 1:00 pm.
Please note that the prerequisite for this course is the BPI Building Analyst Technician credential. Students must provide a copy of their BA-T certificate prior to scheduling their online exam.

Program Details
The BPI Building Analyst Professional (BA-P) certification is a credential for experienced workers in the home performance industry. This certification is based on the BPI Building Analyst Technician (BA-T) credential, which is a required pre-requisite to take the BA-P online exam. A certified BA-P will need to have a strong understanding of residential energy consumption data collection, ability to perform visual evaluations, and diagnostic testing for whole-home assessments. This training prepares students to take the BPI Building Analyst Professional online exam. Students may choose to register for the training and the exam or just the training:
- Full BPI BA-P Training Package (Training + BA-P exam): $1,500
- BPI BA-P Training Only (No Exams): $1,000

After successful completion of this course, the participant will be able to perform comprehensive whole-home energy assessments, employ advanced diagnostic testing techniques, evaluate building systems performance, diagnose problems, and provide cost-effective solutions that increase energy efficiency and improve the health and safety qualities of the home per current BPI standards

Schedule
This is a live, virtual training that will take place over Zoom. Training will take place Monday to Thursday from 9:00am to 1:00 pm each day. Students paying for the subsequent proctored online exam will complete the test on Friday after the training.

The BPI Building Analyst Technician (BA-T) credential is a pre-requisite for the Building Analyst Professional (BA-P) exam. Students will need to provide a copy of their active BA-T certification prior to scheduling the BA-P online test.
Although BA-T certification is not required to attend this training, students are strongly encouraged to complete either the Southface Building Analyst Technician training or already have a BPI BA-T certification.
