2008 Weekend Homebuilding
School
The weekend homebuilding school is designed
for students who want a basic orientation to the homebuilding
process. Over 3 days, you'll receive instruction in
topics related to homebuilding such as framing, plumbing,
energy efficiency and construction management. The
school is taught by professional trade contractors
with many years of experience. Southface works to promote
environmental construction, so you'll receive instruction
in green building as well. The weekend course includes
a site-visit where you'll walk through homes under
construction. The course fee includes a binder with
course materials. The course begins with a two-hour
architecture design lab. See
the weekend course schedule for more detail.
