Winter Solstice Preview

Events

The Southface annual solstice celebrations are highly anticipated gatherings to show appreciation for Southface members and others who share our vision of a regenerative economy, responsible resource use, social equity and a healthy built environment for all.

Dennis addresses last year's crowd at the solstice.

Last year’s Winter Solstice was a resounding success, with more than 100 people in attendance, great food and a complete visual transformation of the Home Depot Foundation Training Center. This year, expect more of the same, with décor provided by Peachtree Tents and Events. As always, we look forward to presenting the Southface Award for Excellence and the Volunteer of the Year award to recognize members of the Southface network who have contributed generously to our mission to promote sustainable homes, workplaces and communities.

Never been a Southface member? Purchase a $35 ticket to the solstice and we’ll make you an individual member, and you can take advantage of discounts to trainings and events like the Sustainable Atlanta Roundtable all year long!

Members are essential supporters and advocates for our work, and our members elect the Southface board of directors at our brief annual business meeting that will take place at the Winter Solstice.

Join us Wednesday, December 16, from 5:30-7:30 to mix and mingle. Our Executive Director, Dennis Creech, will also be making a special announcement related to the Southface History Project.

Food and friends at the last year's celebration.
