Institutional Solar Introduction

Welcome! This portion of the Solar Road Map provides information on solar thermal and photovoltaics (PV) for schools, universities, hospitals and other institutions.

There are few better places for a solar thermal or photovoltaic (PV) installation than a K-12 school, where students can see and use clean energy that is generated right outside their classrooms.

The economics of solar thermal and PV are most attractive for institutions with considerable hot water and electrical demands—like hospitals.

Efficiency Comes First.

Look into saving energy and hot water before investing in a solar thermal or PV system. Your costs will be lower and payback period much shorter!
