High Performance Building - Operations and Maintenance

High Performance Building – Operations & Maintenance is a full-day workshop that focuses on identifying and addressing energy problems to in existing buildings. 


Attendees will learn how to implement simple low-cost and no-cost measures and upgrades to reduce energy consumption and save money. This course addresses building operations, identifying factors that can adversely affect building performance, diagnosing and addressing sub-optimal building performance, and tracking and improving building energy results on an ongoing basis.

In addition, the course highlights tools for managing energy use in buildings, including maintenance strategies, tracking and interpreting utility data, base-lining and evaluating energy performance, and educating building occupants.


CEU Eligibility:

This training is eligible for Continuing Education Units (CEUs) from the following organizations: AIA, GBCI and CSI.


Number of Attendees:

Class size is limited to 40 participants.

This course will be held September 21, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.


Student Requirements:

No previous training or skills are required to attend High Performance Building - Design. However, the course targets professionals who work in the areas of building commissioning, energy monitoring, facility management or building operations and maintenance. The workshop is also appropriate for those interested in LEED CMP Credits and AIA CEUs, as well as design and construction professionals seeking to learn more about energy use in buildings.
