Georgia Residential Energy Code

Effective January 2011, Georgia's residential energy code is the 2009 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) with Georgia amendments. Southface offers full-day trainings on the Georgia energy code, covering topics such as building science fundamentals and how they inform the requirements of the 2009 IECC; the basic structure of the 2009 IECC; compliance pathways builders can use to meet the requirements in the 2009 IECC; mandatory requirements of the energy code (including new duct and blower door testing requirements); and all of the relevant Georgia amendments to the energy code.
