Grants to Green for Nonprofits

 

Grants to Green is a partnership that helps nonprofits in the metro Atlanta region green their organizations. With support from the Kendeda Fund, the partnership includes Southface and The Community Foundation for Greater Atlanta, a respected grantmaker and community leader. Since September 2008, a total of 57 nonprofits have received assessment awards, while 24 have received implementation grants, valued at approximately $690,000.

Improving Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) on the College Campus was a program funded by an EPA grant to provide facilities professionals and others working on college campuses with sound, building-science-based recommendations for improving IAQ.

Energy Efficiency in Georgia K-12 Schools

 

Southface, in partnership with the state energy offices of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and South Carolina, initiated a campaign to improve energy efficiency in commercial buildings by 10 percent. The program for Georgia specifically targeted the K-12 school sector in the state, providing public and private schools with resources to improve their facilities’ energy performance.
