May SART: Mayoral Candidates' Environmental Platforms

Sustainable Atlanta Roundtable: Friday, May 5, 7:30-9:00am | All Saints' Episcopal Church

The mayoral election is always a pivotal decision for Atlantans that has far-reaching impact on our environment. The next leader of City Hall will face major challenges to local water infrastructure, competition between Atlanta's cherished green space and rapidly expanding development and vast reliance on cars with projections of more than one million people residing in the city in the next few decades, all while mitigating the already devastating effects of climate change.

In recent years the city has shown significant leadership on issues related to energy efficiency, water conservation and resilience planning. What will our next Mayor's commitments be to improve the Atlanta ecosystem? Join us to hear from candidates and be prepared to ask them some questions of your own!
