EDUCATION & TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE TEAM
Brad manages the Southeast Weatherization and Energy Efficiency Training (SWEET) Center. He manages several programs focusing on residential energy efficiency, health and safety trainings and certifications, including the Georgia Weatherization Training Program, Building Performance Institute (BPI), and Home Performance with ENERGY STAR. Brad collaborates with the U.S. DOE, BPI, and other Weatherization Training Centers to develop national standards and best practices related to energy efficiency improvements on existing homes.
Mike is a senior engineer responsible for energy efficiency training throughout the Southeast. He has taught and developed materials for numerous presentations and workshops covering residential and commercial high performance buildings, including IECC and ASHRAE 90.1 energy codes, Duct and Envelope Tightness Verification, LEED AP and Green Associate exam preparation, EarthCraft House for new and renovated homes, EarthCraft Light Commercial Professional, RESNET Home Energy Rating System, Building Performance Institute, Weatherization and ENERGY STAR v3.
Amelia provides technical and training support for Southface’s Applied Building Science and Weatherization Training teams. She is a field technician for residential green building projects and also develops and delivers residential building-focused trainings.
Steve specializes in assessing and improving existing homes for comfort, health and energy efficiency and teaching others to do the same. He develops and instructs a variety of Southface trainings and proctors examinations for an assortment of professional certifications at Southface’s Southeastern Weatherization and Energy Efficiency (SWEET) Center. Steve also works with industry partners and certification/accreditation agencies to help ensure Southface continues to be a leader in training and sustainability.
